BSSM's 60th Anniversary Showcase “Past to Present and Future Challenges”

Highlights included expert speakers, a tour of the facility including the Wing of Tomorrow test programme and demonstrations of small specimens and full-scale fatigue testing, static test campaigns. There was also a display of historical artefacts,  a photography competition and exhibition.

60th Anniversary Photo Competition

The winner of the BSSM's 60th Anniversary photo competition was named as Dr Hari Arora from Swansea University for his image of a segmentation of airways and blood vessels. CT images from patients were segmented to enable phantom lung manufacture and patient specific simulations.
